Attending the weekend clinic is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged. Please clear your student's calendar so that they can participate!!
The concert and symphonic band will rehearse at Wake Christian Academy in Raleigh, NC on Thursday evening and Friday.
Dress Code: is mandated by the NCCSA for all fine arts activities. Young men are to wear long pants (khaki-type) and a collared polo or dress shirt. Young ladies are to wear knee-length dresses or skirts, or dress pants. Please do not wear jeans. This is not an "athletic" event, and clothing appropriate for a ball game would not be appropriate for these rehearsals. PLEASE assist us, directors, as these guidelines may be more restrictive than what students are used to.
For performance, men are to wear a shirt and tie with dress slacks and dress shoes. Honors band men should wear a suit coat. Ladies are to wear dressy dresses and skirts that are at least knee-length; necklines should be modestly-cut. Girls need to remember that they will sit (in some cases on the stage) and face an audience. Immodest clothing and skirts that are too short are embarrassing and a bad testimony for your school and for the NCCSA. If a student insists on wearing immodest clothing, he/she will not be allowed to perform with his/her group.
